LA Theatre Bites Presents: HOUSE OF DOGS – An Original Audio Play

There is nothing more important than family–at least that’s what Jake’s mother says. With Mom out of town, 14-year old Jake is given no choice but to stay with his needlessly strict relatives. But what begins as a sub-par sleepover quickly has Jake realizing he has more in common with the kennel dogs than he ever imagined.

For anyone in the industry that works in theatre, from the big theatres to the smaller black box theatres, creating theatre, especially a show from an unknown playwright, has immense challenges. One of the largest is just exposure. As the pandemic shut down theatres, the thought of being able to create theatre and make it more accessible led me to the idea of creating original audio plays from Southern California but especially Los Angeles. Our goal at LA Theatre Bites is to create quality audio plays that help promote new playwrights and artists. If chosen, LA Theatre Bites would direct and produce your full play, and you would retain all rights to your play and 65% of the profit made from the sale of your audio play. LA Theatre Bites would take 35% of the profit made from the sale of the audio play. If interested in submitting your play it must be unproduced a feature-length play, and the playwright must be 18 years or older, a US Citizen, born, raised, and still living in Southern California. We want locals. Make sure your material is copyrighted correctly before sending. Email your script to latheatrebites@yahoo.com.
