At the prestigious Miskatonic University, Polly Simpkins and Gwen Hunter are normal, college girls. Polly is academic, obsessed with research and straight A’s. Gwen is hot and popular and would rather party than study. But their lives are turned upside-down one night when Martha Keller, Gwen’s sorority sister that she never talks to, breaks into their dorm. Her roommate, Lucy, has disappeared under mysterious circumstances and no one seems to care. The only clue she has is The Secrets of Uvhash-Ra, a cursed book that has been in Miskatonic’s library for hundreds of years.

According to legend, whoever reads the book becomes cursed. They hear things, see demons lurking in the shadows, and go mad. Eventually, they disappear, presumably into the book ittself.

Martha is desperate for Polly and Gwen’s help. Because the book appeared on her bedside table not long after Lucy went missing. Martha fears that she is next. Source

Set in a 1940s therapist’s office, a therapist meets with three increasingly fractured clients, each bringing their own confessions, delusions, and carefully constructed narratives. As she moves from session to session, her own sense of self begins to erode.

Sleep-deprived and quietly unraveling, she finds it harder to separate instinct from paranoia, projection from perception, and truth from performance. Private thoughts intrude, imagined conversations bleed into the room, and the line between what is said aloud and what is only feared or suspected grows dangerously thin.

An existential pressure cooker, the play explores identity, distrust, and the absurdity of trying to hold others together while coming undone yourself. A workshop production. Source

Tony Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist, WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME is a personal and timely exploration of the U.S. Constitution. This October, Heidi Schreck’s groundbreaking play returns to Hollywood.

At 15, Heidi loved the US Constitution. Now, as an adult, she wonders what about this document made her such a fanatic. With bravery, heart, rage, and humor, Heidi illuminates the shadows of the Constitution to discover What the Constitution Means to her.

Genny Wilson (The Young & The Restless, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) shines as Heidi in a deftly moving performance as she retraces her journey from high school to womanhood and uncovers how America’s founding document has shaped the lives of women.

In 2019, the LA Times said, “Every man, woman, and teenager in Los Angeles needs to see this play,” and the New York Times called it, “the best and most important new play of the season.” Don’t miss your chance to experience this one-of-a-kind show.

This is a limited engagement from October 3 to October 26. Source
