The producers of the HFF16 immersive hit, Love the Body Positive, are back with the full length comedy, “Disrobed: Why so clothes-minded?” The play has been adapted and updated by Steven Vlasak (HFF18’s Nights at The Algonquin Roundtable) from the British naturist classic, “Barely Proper” by Tom Cushing. It’s Meet The Parents with a twist! Skye is about to introduce her conservative boyfriend to her family. But she’s never told him that she and her family are all nudists! Will their relationship survive? Once again, this immersive theatre experience requires the audience to be in their birthday suits, but house rules require footwear. Don’t forget to bring a clothes bag and a towel to sit on! All photography is prohibited and all cellphones must be turned off and stored in the clothes bag upon entering the venue. THE STUDY takes place during a psychological clinical test of the flight-or-fight response set in a college lecture hall. The audience’s reactions and answers determine the outcome of each performance; in this immersive, audience-interactive, video game and theatre-inspired piece. Created by Jared Tyrel Pixler and David Evan Stolworthy, the creators of THE VIDEO GAMES, which ran for nearly three years. THE STUDY has a cast of eleven characters, many of which are from the worlds of the creator’s premiere plays; Let Me Out and Roommates. No show will be like the last in this scripted, choose-your-own adventure style play. Taken from the website.

The City of Happymont is your typical small but growing city, and while the Happymont City Council tries to keep order and get business done, the Public, or at least those who participate in Public Comment, takes up the Council’s time with Conspiracy theories, rants, and musical numbers. The council tries to get rid of Public Comment but the Public won’t give it up without a fight. It all boils down to one man who has never spoken before giving the speech of his life and saving Public Comment. Taken from the website.

Insight
This brilliant show gives us a unique insight into the torment and courage of accepting and overcoming Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It opens up this human condition with grace, humor and candor. Many people hide in the shadows but Jessica puts it in the spotlight.

In this immersive, intimate virtual reality theatre experience, audiences peer inside the memories of a recently broken-up couple and attempt to figure out “what went wrong” with their relationship. But nothing is ever quite as easy as it seems, especially when the human mind and heart are involved…

Welcome to Closure Inc., a brand new start-up with an age-old goal: Helping failed couples figure out where their relationship fell apart.

Using high-tech headsets, Closure Inc. employees can “view” the memories of both parties and then create an objectively analytical report of what went wrong. A lack of intimacy? Neediness? Failure to communicate? All of our client’s most crushing personal flaws will be on display, but at the end of the day they will rest easy knowing what exactly tore apart their love.
