Stew @ Pasadena Playhouse – Review

Mama and the girls are in the kitchen early preparing her famous stew for a big event in Zora Howard’s humorous, haunting, and sharp 90-minute drama. As these three generations of Black women work through the recipe, and their grief, they begin to feel their past and present closing in. A finalist for the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Stew has a lot more simmering under the surface. Taken from the website.

July 12 — August 6, 2023.

Correction: It’s 3 Generations of African American Women. I said 4 generations.
