A searingly innovative and comedic take on an oft-told story, DI LADY DI eschews the fairytale glamor of the people’s princess to illuminate her struggles in a paternalistic society and dysfunctional family. Under pressure to sacrifice self and conform to oppressive external demands, the Queen of people’s hearts bravely relinquishes illusory dreams to emerge from her crucible-chrysalis as an empowered woman of influence, transcending celebrity and transforming the monarchy. DI LADY DI reveals what is under the looking glass, taking an unflinching gaze into the heart and mind of an icon in turmoil, evocatively expressing lessons learned from her private journey. Through beautiful, multi-layered harmonies and incisive lyrics, DI LADY DI celebrates the transformative possibilities of looking inward, overcoming familial trauma, and the ineffable power of a woman’s intuition. An important inspiring story of heroism that was left out of the history books.

Did you know that Indians played a vital part in the allied victory of WW2. Did you know that an Indian princess fought the Nazis?

Meet NOOR INAYAT KHAN, Sufi Royalty turned British spy, thorn in Hitlers side & the Gestapo’s worst nightmare.

Now cornered by the Nazis with nothing with death assured to her. In her final moments she will remind us who she is, why she matters and why she will always be in part of history. She fought alongside her enemy, the British to fight a greater threat – the evisceration of life as we know it.  Taken from the website.

MADE IN AMERICA is an hour-long solo show about a brave first-generation Japanese artist, Teruko’s shocking, raw autobiography. She chooses to immigrate to the States from Japan by her own will for a reason, encounters many odd and dangerous situations, faces obstacles and learns how to survive in America.

This show is about humanity. It describes beautifully about how the humane American system helped her and did everything for her to survive. This show needs to be seen and heard because it does bring awareness of Women, First-Generation Immigrants, Mental Health, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Suicide and anyone who suffers and needs help. Wow!!! This is why art exists.
This show is amazing! Her ability to tell her story in such a funny yet powerful way is truly a gift. To turn such hard subject matter into a piece of art that touches the human heart in a way that it reveals who she is and touch your our experience is truly an art form. GO SEE IT! best life performance I have seen in years.

Where is the in-between? In the wake of the anti-Asian hate crimes across our country, Something In The Air is a play that focuses on the lives of eight very different Asian/Asian-American college students living in America. These eight individuals come from different walks of life and from all over the diaspora, representing the diverse realities of AAPI college students in the country. They arrive at the infamous Denver Airport, ready to take flight for spring break, and, given its otherworldly nature– are forced to deal with issues within fiction and reality. A story that combines mystery, conspiracy theories, myths, and generational stories. Taken for the website.

In this modern riff on Oscar Wilde’s classic, “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” Dorian becomes Lori Anne Green, a beautiful but naïve college grad recently recruited as the spokesmodel for the “Ever Young” line of cosmetics. Suddenly thrust into the spotlight, and under the very bad influence of her ad agency’s decadent director, Lori is slowly seduced into a hidden world where she determines to savor every debauched and divine experience her new double life now affords. In this edgy, witty, sexy, and darkly funny send-up, Steven Vlasak, the award-winning author of previous Hollywood Fringe Festival hits “Nights at the Algonquin Round Table” and “Disrobed,” sets out to roast our current culture’s obsession with celebrity and privilege, and the very real possibility that looks can kill, with the temptations that “being famous for being famous” offer to the personalities that we, perhaps, secretly think we wish we were.
