Independent Shakespeare Company presents: Julius Caesar at the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival – Review

All photos by Grettel Cortes

Our first production in the park of Shakespeare’s gritty political thriller.

Rome teeters on the brink of civil war as Caesar’s ambition for a crown threatens the stability of the Republic. This fast-paced performance explores how propaganda and technology can be used to manipulate the populace. Your own values may be tested as you get pulled into a world of power struggles and intrigue.

This production portrays violence and self-violence, uses stage blood and fog, includes a gun shot, contains adult themes, and has flashing lights. Taken from the website.
