New Forms presents: 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche @ Glendale Church of the Brethren – Review

A site-specific, high-camp comedy set in 1956. Get ready to clutch those pearls, Sisters! It’s about to get deliciously queer…

Dear Sisters, patriots, and admirers of the Egg,

You are cordially invited to attend

The 1956 Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein’s

Annual Quiche Breakfast!

You, the audience, are honorary Society members for the evening — gathered to celebrate Sisterhood, moral decency, and the unquestionable holiness of the Egg.

Attendance is mandatory. The safety of our Sisterhood — and possibly all of America — depends upon punctuality and reverent conduct.

The Beautification Committee will also be doing a raffle this year. To enter,

  • arrive in your finest 1950s society attire

and/or

  • bring a meatless quiche as an offering to the Sisterhood.

As tradition demands, in honor of the Egg, we will be crowning this year’s Best Quiche!

Your ticket includes food so come hungry! Beverages will also be available by suggested donation to our Patriotic Anti-Temptation Moral Purity Fund.

TO MARJORIE ONLY: Please note that any further requests for “atom blankets” will not be tolerated. The Glendale Church of the Brethren is certified bomb-resistant and perfectly safe. Please stop alarming your fellow Sisters. Nothing can spoil this monumental occasion!

Seating is limited and first-come-first-served. Secure your tickets now!

We look forward to breaking Egg with you. May the best quiche prevail!

Sincerely,

The Officers of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein
