A man has mixed feelings about returning to his hometown in the Inland Empire for his 30 year high school reunion, but after encounters with mysterious persons among the familiar locations of his childhood, he finds he is drawn to stay. Against the back drop of the Day of the Dead Festival, he sets forth on a journey through his past, dreams, and memories, uncovering dark secrets about the town, and his deceased mother.
